eBay Sold Listings API vs Soldgraph: 240 sold results in one call, no polling

Soldgraph vs the eBay Sold Listings API, checked October 15, 2026: up to 240 sold results in one synchronous call, 50 free requests every month, and a lower price per request on every paid plan. Soldgraph covers more marketplaces.

· 5 min read

Both APIs return eBay sold listings as JSON across the same 8 eBay sites. The differences are how much one call returns, whether you wait on a job, what the free tier really gives you, and the price per request.

The short answer

  • One call, all the rows: up to 240 sold results come back in the same request. Soldgraph returns 40 rows by default (up to 200), and a search it has not cached answers with a job you poll.
  • A free tier that renews: 50 requests every month here. Soldgraph gives new accounts 100 requests once.
  • Lower price per request: cheaper per 1,000 requests than Soldgraph at every comparable paid tier (table below).
  • Pick Soldgraph if you need active listings from Depop, Whatnot, OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace or Vinted, or pay-as-you-go requests with no plan.

Price per request

Soldgraph prices from its public pages on October 15, 2026. Soldgraph also has a $19 plan for 5,000 requests and sells extra requests at $3 per 1,000 on a plan or $10 per 1,000 without one.

One call vs a job to poll

Here a search is a single GET. You get the sold rows back in the same response, so a price check in your app is one request and one await:

curl "https://api.ebaysoldlistingsapi.com/scrape?keyword=nintendo+switch+oled&count=240" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

With a job model, a search that is not already cached returns a job ID first, and your code waits and polls until the rows are ready. That is fine for overnight batches, but it adds latency and code to every live lookup.

To be fair to Soldgraph

Soldgraph covers more marketplaces, including active listings on Depop, Whatnot, OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace and Vinted, it works out the median for you, and you can buy requests without a subscription. If you need those, it is a good fit. For eBay sold data at the lowest price per request, with every row in one call, this API goes further.

Is the eBay Sold Listings API cheaper than Soldgraph?

Per request, yes, at every comparable paid tier: $3.33 per 1,000 on Starter against $4.50, $2.00 on Growth against $2.45 on Soldgraph's $49 plan, and $1.30 on Scale against $1.49. Soldgraph's free tier is 100 requests once; here it is 50 every month.

Do I have to poll for results?

No. Every search is answered in the same call with up to 240 sold results. Soldgraph answers searches it has not cached with a job you poll.

Which covers more marketplaces?

Soldgraph. It adds Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Whatnot, OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, Vinted and TCGplayer. The eBay Sold Listings API focuses on eBay's 8 sites.

Does either return a price summary?

Soldgraph adds a median, low and high to each page. The eBay Sold Listings API returns the raw sold rows, so you compute the statistic you need, for example a median over a date window.
